I am a person who never graduated from college few years back but thanks to the distance learning degree programs. Now, I am already enjoying my professional career as a storyboard artist here in Pittsburgh.

While in my childhood years I have been dreaming to become of the best animators in my town but financial hard ups disallowed me to follow my dreams in life. I was forced to take odd jobs in my younger years just to augment the expenses of my high school days. In short, I was working in daytime and attend to classes in the afternoon.

Then there came the saddest decision in my life to stop from college because I belong to a very poor family and my mom and died had died of car accident a decade ago. I have worked for years until I get married to my lovely Joan, a sales clerk, in of the biggest malls here in Pittsburgh.

It was only few years back after a five-year stoppage from schooling that my wife encouraged me to go back to school and she help finance the expenses that would be incurred.

Since I felt old enough to go to college campuses, I have decided to search for distance learning degree programs on line. Thanks God online education is already available. I research for more requirements because I was immediately interested to take a course that could help advance my career in the future.

Finally, I was able to browse at the online offerings of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and took up Game Art and Design. I like the course because I have inclinations in art. I remember in my high school days I was look up to by my classmates because I always won in poster and painting contests. I have had in my possession several medals and trophies that would always remind me that I was given special talent by the Almighty Creator.

Indeed, the course was fun because I love it. I did not only focused my mind on special assignments given by my online teachers but I made many research about the subject in the internet to broaden my horizons as far as Game Art and Design.

Since in my childhood days, I am also a fun of many internet and Nintendo games. I am always fascinated at how the artists created the beautiful gaming designs of Tekken from Play Station, the Mortal Combat from Nintendo, the Super Mario Brothers, the 3D animations of a lot of games available online too and from video games.

Because I dream to become one of the country’s best Game Art animators, the financial difficulties was never a problem to me. I continued the schooling and at the same time help my wife earn a living. Our friends who are fascinated with my works also gave art projects that helped me and my family of two kids withstand the dilemmas of life – as a father to my kids, husband to my beautiful and lovely wife and as a student myself at the Art Institute in Pittsburgh.

In the Game Art and Design program, you’ll you will surely enhance your talents and skills because you will be designing applications based on the subject matters you tackled during the course of the training program. After graduation, you may land a job as digital artist, storyboard artists, game designers and all other related jobs.

I believe many distance learning degree graduates have their own stories to tell and sad experience on their lives while they seek for the right opportunities.
